Park in the Past – Hope, Flintshire – NWCX Fun Race & 2022/3 League Prize Giving (EARLY START)

Sunday 12th February 2023

Sign-on will take place at Park in the Past HQ from 9am

Racing is earlier to allow Prize Giving @  1315pm

There  will be no childrens’ beginners race.

Race results will not count towards the 2022/3 league classification.

Race1: U10s & U8s at 1030.  Race 1 can race in fancy dress.                             Race2: NOTE U12s will join U14s, U16s & Adult Beginners at 1100                 Race3: Adults start at 1145 for 45mins, followed by prompt course clearance. See timings below.

Food will be provided for children 1230-1300. (Parents/guardians of children with special dietary requirements will be required to make special arrangement)

Prize giving will start at approx 1315.  More information to follow on League Facebook notice.

Parking and park admission is covered in the race entry fee for all parents, children and competitors.

All other visitors will be required to pay park entry fee of £2 per person. Park in the Park is a Registered Charity

Timings:

09:00 -11:30 Registration. There will be no registration after 1130.

10:30 Race #1: U8s, U10s (20mins ) £6 (£5+£1 admin fee) Nifty Online Only  Race Entry includes park admission fee of £2

11:00  Race#2:  U12s, U14s, U16s,  ( 30mins )  £6 (£5+£1 admin fee)  Nifty Online Only         + Adult Novice ( beginners) £8 cash (enter on the day)- Race Entry includes park admission fee of £2

11:45-1230 ADULT + JUNIOR (u18) FUN RACE £10 (£9+£1 admin fee)Entry Race Entry  includes park admission fee of £2

1230-1300  CHILDRENS’ LUNCH @ Park-in-the-Past HQ

1230- 1300  COURSE CLEARANCE (ADULT COMPETITORS)

1315- 1415  2022_23 Prize Giving with Steve Bradbrook, Chair, North Wales Cyclocross

Single frameset rule: NWCX operates a single frameset rule. You must use the bike you start with. No spare bikes permitted once race underway.

Competitors to use retained numbers.

Competitors are to hand back their race chips at the finish. Each chip cost £30+vat.  You will be billed if you fail to hand back your chip

BIKES:  You can race on cyclocross, MTB , gravel or hybrid bike.

TYRES: Please ensure bikes are fitted with knobbly tyres for traction & safety. Smooth tyres are unsafe for off-road cycling. The organisers reserve the right to exclude from competition any competitor with unsuitable tyres.
