Round 6 & FINAL of the 2021/22 North Wales Cyclo-cross League: Brymbo Sports & Social Complex, College Hill, Brymbo, Wrexham LL11 5TF
North Wales Cyclocross League welcomes competitors to Brymbo Sports & Social Complex to finish the season with a return visit.
The Centre was previously owned by the famous Brymbo Steel Works part of United Engineering Steel Group. When the furnaces fell silent and the works closed in 1990, Brymbo Sports & Social Complex Ltd succeeded as the new owner and now operates as a member’s club renowned for its friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The club serves Wrexham hosting sporting contests, formal functions and private hire events all year round.
Located three miles outside of Wrexham, its facilities comprise two football pitches, four tennis courts, two squash courts, a bowling green, and a cricket ground. The sports fields sit amidst rolling parkland and woods. The cyclocross course will make full use of the outstanding grounds. We are the guests of Gareth Lloyd, General Manager, and Groundsmen Anthony Beck and Paul Morris who maintain the Complex.
Sign-on will take place in the Complex adjacent to the car park.
There is ample parking in the Main Car Park. Please ensure access for squash club members.
Male & female WCs are located in the complex. As usual please treat facilities with respect.

(Vets will be classified V40, V50, V60+ subject to participant numbers )
Newcomers regardless of age, gender or ability are welcome. You can race on a cyclocross, gravel or mountain bike. You can try the beginners race for 30mins.
Parents: children are made very welcome at cyclocross races. If unsure don’t be afraid to ask at HQ. The North Wales series prioritises racing for children. Most beginners make rapid progress.
Single frameset rule: to limit costs and entry barriers NWCX operates a single frameset rule. You must use the bike you start with. No spare bikes permitted once race underway.
Knobbly tyres: cyclocross takes place on grass, mud and gravel surfaces. It is essential for competitor safety that you fit knobbly tyres. Riders with smooth tyres will be asked to discontinue. This applies equally to children.
Competitors retain numbers. This stays with you for all season so keep it safe between races. Replacement numbers will be charged £3 per set.
Return of timing chips. Competitors hand back their race chips at the finish. Each chip cost £30+vat. You will be billed if you failing to return your chip
